Using Your IPad: Tips And Tricks

You can change alert notifications that you get for Wi-Fi networks with ease. You will see the choice that asks if you want to join networks. Choose that and you’ll quit getting bothered by the invites that are incoming.

You don’t have to use the film roll icon to look at pictures. Simple swipe right with a single finger and you will see your video or photo. To view other photos you have stores, swipe toward the left side of the screen.

Almost everyone finds it difficult to accurately type on a tablet’s keyboard. The iPad does offer a dictation feature, however. To access this, hit the Home icon twice, then choose the small microphone in this menu. When you are finished you just hit the microphone again and the text will appear on the screen.

You can make it much easier to send messages if you use shortcuts. You can add a full stop and a space by tapping on the space button twice. You won’t need to labor over your messages using this method.

A great way to keep pages open is to open new pages in a new tab. If you use Safari, tap the link and hold it until the menu option becomes visible. In this menu, you’ll be able to get links opened in new tabs.

Is the battery icon distracting to you? It can be easily turned off. First, you will want to locate the Settings option. You will find Usage under General. Here, you can turn off the battery percentage indicator if it bothers you.

There is a way to locate your iPad if it becomes misplaced. Then you must go to iCloud, by going to Settings, then iCloud. Insert your Apple ID. Once you do this, the bottom of your screen will flash “Find My iPad” and tap it to turn the feature on. You will then be able to see where your iPad is on a map by visiting iCloud.com and logging in with your Apple ID.

Mature Content

If your child will be using your iPad and you don’t want them seeing mature content, you can change your settings so these items become blocked. Under settings, you can limit how much mature content they can see. With the iPad you can set parental settings to block and harmful content.

Make sure that you set up all of your numbers and emails on your iPad. Your FaceTime will include the emails you saved into your iPad, but you should add more contacts. If you have multiple emails or numbers, each one can be recognized by FaceTime.

To copy/paste quickly, press and then hold text and simply choose Select. Select Copy, change to another app, and then select and hold again. A menu will come up that will let you click on paste. If you want to copy and paste a complete paragraph, tap four times.

Cloud Function

If you’re constantly online, don’t overlook the iPad’s cloud function. This is terrific for storing information without using hard drive space on your iPad. Make sure that important documents are stored on both your iPad and the cloud function.

A lot of iPad owners know that their device has an iTunes store, but might not be aware of everything that it has to offer. One interesting function is iTunes U. The U stands for university. This area features education-related podcasts on a variety of subjects. Use them to increase your breadth of knowledge.

Take advantage of the iPad’s brightness features to extend battery life. With auto brightness enabled your iPad automatically adjusts screen lighting depending on the lighting available in whatever room you’re in. This will control the power being drawn from the battery by the screen, and you’ll be able to use the iPad for longer periods before having to charge it. You can turn auto brightness on and off by accessing your iPad’s settings area.

The iPad has changed how we use technologies every day. Given the nearly infinite amount of apps out there, there seems to be no limit to what this little machine can do. By applying the above advice you will quickly see for yourself how limitless the iPad truly is.
